Singapore PR Guides
by Work Status
Your current work authorisation shapes how ICA reads your PR application. EP holders are assessed differently from S Pass holders — and founder-led cases face an entirely separate evaluation framework. Select your current status for a tailored perspective.
Use this page to understand what tends to be weighted most heavily for your status, then cross-check any official definitions and eligibility rules on primary sources (ICA and MOM). The goal is not to repeat public information, but to help you interpret it and prioritise what to strengthen before you submit.

How Work Status Shapes Your PR Assessment
ICA's evaluation criteria are the same for all applicants — but the weight given to each factor shifts significantly based on your current status. An EP holder is assessed on salary tier and professional trajectory. Founder-route cases are assessed on business substance. A DP holder must demonstrate individual integration beyond the sponsoring relationship.
Understanding which dimension of your profile ICA will scrutinise most is the starting point for building a strategically strong application — not just a technically eligible one.
